One can get a Chinese made watch -say, Tandorio- double-domed sapphire with a Seiko 4R36, which is the NH35, has 24 jewels BPH 21,6, is positioned 6 ways for testing and a reserve of 24-32 hrs 'real-world' for 90 bucks? Point? The entry level luxury brands are complete rip-offs with price tags of 4-5 hundred! If you like the watch..okay, but I mean a Bulova Sinatra pos is 1200 bucks for the cheapest Miyota movement- junk from Citizen- and reflecting sapphire..get a Vostok, Raketa, Sea-gull 1963 and/or Tandorio... Great vid!

Printed bezel is a minus.

Is it just me or has this and many other watches are ruined by the clumsy fume dials. I hope fume is just a fad as very few get it right as, in my view, it should be subtle not fading aggressively to dark or black. Red should fade gradually to a slightly darker red or better still not do it. Maybe it's just me but fume is a more intricate process and should be done with more finesse. I realize it's Ali Express but I am referring to many brands who should not bother and have ruined a decent dial. Just my thoughts

The problem I have with it is that if is so obviously a very commercial China made watch, made from China made standard parts (except the Miyota movement). The bracelet, the buckle, the lug width, the tapering off the bracelet, the case dimensions... all are standard parts that we see in so many Ali watches and are mass produced for e.g. Seestern, Bliger, San Martin etc. etc. That's how it works in China and this one is no different. You will never see a 42mm option as that is not standard mass China production right now. It doesn't fit small Chinese wrists. You can expect the same kind of Chinese watches with Miyota movements within months for $250 and a year later that same watch will drop another 100$ in price. The third year after launch you can pick one up for just around 100$. That's how it works and it confirmed to me that Mr. 'Hellooooooo' is just very commercially focused, like most of his other colleagues. Never pay more than $100 for Chinese watches! Just wait a few years for Chinese Miyota watches..

It’s Citizen and Rotary for me, all the way. Though I do also have a couple of inexpensive nice looking Stuhrling automatics which I take out every so often, just for a change

I have the aventurine dial one and I'm conflicted about it. I like the overall look but the aventurine dial just doesn't do it for me. I loved the look of aventurine on my Sugess moonphase. Maybe it's the oyster style bracelet on the san martin. I'll try swapping it to something in leather. On another note, I also have like you the SN0116-G-GMT, and it's such a gorgeous piece. Imo it's the best watch they ever did. I have it in the dark gray dial and it's just stunning. I have their chainmail bracelet (the more aggressive beads of rice bracelet from their SN0115-G watch ) coming in the mail and I plan on putting it on the SN0116-G-GMT. Their best "original design" watch, with their best bracelet for the ultimate grail san martin 😉. Anyways , awesome video as always and have a great one!

I deeply regret selling my SM watches, even for the profit I miss them. Time to buy another one I guess....

I've been wearing the red one for two weeks now. The finishing is absolutely phenomenal. The on the go adjustability of the clasp kind of ruined the experience of every other clasp I have on my other watches. The bracelet may look quite generic but it is finished really well and doesn't distract from the head of the watch which is righteously the star of the show. The bezel has a sloping edge which makes it look a lot slimmer than the GMT. It's a damn nice watch. Thanks for yet another excellent review. 👍

i agree with your assessment of the dial quality and general design unity of this watch . . . as well as the negative associated with the thickness. That thickness is, i think, driven by three factors: firstly the domed box crystal; secondly the depth of the dial's features (i.e., applied indices and textures); and finally the choice of the NH3x movements. For the three handers the latter are 0.7mm thicker than PT5000s (although only 0.25mm thicker than ETA's 2836 GMT). Personally i've found that two unsatisfactory NH35s in my life are quite enough, so the SN0129 is a non-starter for me, but this is good news for San Martin's progress as a brand, even if the Jianghun War Drum is not so much. -- gary ray

I am curious how does the new model(without GMT) feels on the wrist , does it feel too thick? Because for a watch that has NH35 inside 13.2 mm sounds quite thick

These are phenomenal. I think you might be the only one who has shown the brown dial on that GADA. I know they are coming out with even another version of the GADA with different dials and the date on the 6. Thanks! And yes hope they start using that shorter clasp.

There's a hint of a semi-guarded crown on some of the GS Evolution 9 models as well. That said, I would prefer the SM without crown guards.

Great video. I have also started to lose a lot of interest in owning luxury watches. Last year I purchased an Omega SM300 and while the watch is very nice, I’m thinking what I paid was really not worth it and been thinking about selling it. Most times I wear my much cheaper Rado or Longines watch that fit me better. I also don’t worry as much about damaging or losing my cheaper watches. I also would never spend over $10k on a Rolex. I prefer a Hamilton or another Longines.
